I am very proud of my team: Karen Silva, Penny Alexander, Parvin Sharma and Tanya Spence. Last fall, they were nominated as finalists for the Grimsby Chamber of Commerce "Outstanding Customer Service Award". This was a great honour as there were many fine businesses of Grimsby that were involved in this event.

Prior to the awards night, we were visited by a wonderful group of students from Grimsby Secondary School. These students were part of a "film science" class. They professionally organized us and made a 3-4 minute video of our team "in action", to the background music of an appropriate song called "Happy Smiles". The award night was held on Wednesday, November 19 at the Casablanca Inn where we enjoyed a delicious dinner and the camaraderie of other Grimsby business owners. Robert Slessor of Slessor Motors introduced our team prior to the playing of the video. The first place award was given to Mrs. Iris Gibson who has worked at the local TD Bank in Grimsby since 1969. We were very happy for her.
